Most of my time I spend trying to create (or find) order, connection or purpose in my surroundings. It should be no surprise to me that in my paintings the same thing happens. For me, art is a visual expression of an emotional connection to something, whether it is a landscape, a single flower, or a thought. Every piece tells a story and it’s wonderful if my story touches the soul of the viewer too.

About Me

Carolyn: As a junior high school student, a teacher told me that if I had to pass ART to get into high school, I would never make it. It wasn’t until my children, as they tried new things, gave me a reason to explore my creativity again, that I was brave enough to attempt any drawing or painting. I thank my family and friends for all the encouragement I have received.
